What’s the deal with the Nurse Jamie beauty roller and her weird bear pillow?

I was scrolling through my YouTube feed last night and randomly came across this video by Jenna Dewan Tatum which is funny because I don’t remember subscribing to her channel or ever watching any of her videos.

But what caught my eye was the Nurse Jamie, UpLift Facial Massaging Beauty Roller that she’s using in the cover image.

In the long list of products I’ve purchased because of YouTubers, this one makes my list.

I’ve had it for well over a year, but for some reason, I’ve never mentioned it before today.

I got it after seeing it on a Tati video and after I got the Nurse Jamie EGF Stem Cell Complex I reviewed a while back in an “empties” post.

Once I bought that serum, I was on the email list and I received a 25% off code. I was curious so I got it.

And honestly–I go in waves where I use it a lot–and then forget about it.

But when I use it–I really like it. Is it hocus pocus? Probably, but isn’t a lot of this stuff wishful thinking?

The idea behind it is the little stones or beads stimulate your skin to encourage collagen production and help reduce puffiness.

As I’ve mentioned a million times, my eyes are super puffy when I wake up. I like rolling this under my eyes to help get that puffiness down.

And rolling it along your jawline and under your chin feels good and is supposed to help firm and tighten your skin.

In general, it’s like a little massage for your face. And the stones feel cold so it’s a nice way to wake up your skin in the morning.

And like Jenna says in her video, I also generally use it after I put all my potions on but before I apply makeup.

Is it goofy? Yeah. Does it work? Maybe. Am I glad I have it? Yes. I really like using it and find it especially handy when my face feels puffy and when I travel.

At $69, you definitely don’t need it, but if you sign up for the e-newsletter and get a deal on it, I think it’s a nice treat and it’s sturdy design means it’s built to last.

Speaking of goofy stuff, at some point with a discount code, I also bought the Nurse Jamie, Beauty Bear™ Age Defy Pillow.

Now this is something I LOVE and can’t live without. Seriously. Of all my beauty purchases, this is one of my favorites that I would buy again and again.

This oddly shaped pillow is relatively flat and is designed to help prevent wrinkles. It’s also supposed to help you get better sleep because of its shape.

And I’m 100% on board with ALL of this. It took a few nights to get used to, but I had been getting crinks in my neck from my old pillow and that is done.

I would always wake up with lines on my face–which is also over.

It’s super easy to travel with and I now take it everywhere. You can also easily remove the satin pillowcase to wash it and it’s really soft to sleep on.

Basically, I’m crazy for this pillow! And I’m sorry I haven’t shared it sooner!

It’s also $69 which actually makes it a fairly reasonable buy. Even just getting a satin pillowcase can be pricey.

So thanks, Jenna–for reminding me to talk about these unconventional but essential beauty tools–especially that pillow.

And if you’re curious to try them, but don’t want to shell out that cash, sign up for the e-newsletter and wait for a deal.

Yes–YouTubers have a way of making me spend my own money on weird stuff–luckily, sometimes it’s good.
