Sephora Splurges for Spring

The spring Sephora sale has started!  If I’m honest—I need new products like I need a hole in the head!—but of course, that’s not going to stop me.

I have a bunch of items sitting in my “loves” that I’m deciding between. I thought I’d lay out a few of the ones I’m considering the strongest to see if you have any experience with them and get your feedback. Since the sale ends on the 24th, I’ve got a little time before I hit the “purchase” button. I also thought I’d share a few items I’d recommend to you, products I’ve been using a lot lately, especially turning over from winter to spring/summer.

Tops on my “Loves” list:

First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer: I recently used up my Marc Jacobs Beauty coconut water primer. I will talk more about it in my next “Empties” post–and I’d give a spoiler–but I’m still thinking about it. I want to try this new primer by First Aid Beauty to compare. It’s much cheaper–the Marc Jacobs is stupid expensive–and I’m still not sure how I feel about primers, in general. So I’m curious to check this out.

COVER FX Illuminating Setting Spray: Tati sang its praises and I’m crazy for setting sprays. So I think I’m gonna give it a try.

tarte Rainforest of The Sea™ Color Splash Lipstick: I feel like I’ve heard good things about this new collection and the Tarte Lip Surgence is one of my favorite lip lines of all time. So I’m thinking of grabbing a few to check them off.

My recommendations:

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream: This one isn’t new—I mentioned it at the LAST Sephora sale during the holidays—but that was in a duo pack. I’ve tried other Sol de Janeiro products and this one is by far the star. With summer coming, this product is back in heavy rotation in my morning routine. And as you know—I hate putting on lotion—but I really love this product, especially the tightening and firming results.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Dry Shampoo: I heard about this product through a YouTuber—can’t remember which one—and ended up getting a sample of it—and fell in love. I love this scent and have it in my rotation, but I think I like it even better in this form. Every time I wear it, people comment on how good I smell, and it’s my hair! Jess definitely needs to check this one out! I’m going to pick up a full size with this sale.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection Palette: I’m in. I totally bought into the hype and picked this up during the holidays. I really liked the palette–shadow selection is great, quality is top-notch, smells divine–but I didn’t use it at all in the winter. I was way too into the Anastasia Beverly Hill Modern Renaissance palette–which I still totally recommend you pick up. But now that it’s warmed up, I’ve started reaching for this collection more.

Oh–and I’m totally getting this. Thanks, Jess!

So there you have it–more ways to spend money! 🙂 Will you be joining me? Any thoughts on the products I’mlooking at for the sale? What are you thinking about grabbing? (Make me feel better about my addiction. Please.)
