Empties: some old favorites but new reasons not to repurchase

It’s that time again! Time to go through my trash with you, aka my empties.

Giovanni 2chic Ultra Sleek Body Wash, Brazilian Keratin & Argon Oil: This is my favorite body wash. Period. It’s exfoliating and moisturizing. Adn I blow through these. Luckily, they are pretty cheap. Only $8.99 and I can get it at Festival Foods. So yup–repurchasing.

Dermalogica, Antioxidant HydraMist: I know we talk A LOT about the Mario Badescu spray–and for good reason. But I have a secret love for this mist. I bought it several years ago after getting a facial at Indulge Spa on the eastside and loving how it smelled. But then I didn’t love it when I got home. So I texted Pamela to see what the deal is with the spray and how to use it. (this whole talking products thing has been going on a long time, folks!) She gave me a nice primer on it–use it sparingly and give it time to soak in before going on to a next step. Since then I’ve been hooked. But because it’s kinda pricey, I only use it in the mornings and I’ve been using it just as a post makeup spritz to make it look a little more fresh and less make-upy. Pamela has recently told me I should use it as a toner and spray it on after washing my face at night–so I’m doing that now, too. I love this stuff. And it has already been repurchased.

BareMinerals, Oil Obsessed Total Cleansing Oil: : I’ve already told you how much I love this and that I already repurchased it!

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Swirl Gel Cream Treatment: So yeah. I’ve had this for a minute.

You’ll recall I reviewed this when we were checking out drugstore eye creams. And I still really like it. There are just others that I like more so I won’t repurchase.

Laneige, Water Sleeping Mask: This one is weird. I really liked the sample, but didn’t like the full size when I got it and ended up returning it. I really didn’t like the smell of the full size product but never noticed it in the sample. The texture also seemed really watery in the full size, but it was nice in the sample. I’m not sure what happened. I did repurchased, but returned it.

Algenist, GENIUS Ultimate Anti-Aging Vitamin C+ Serum: Here’s another conflict for me. This has been my favorite serum. I first got it in a sample pack and really loved it. But the full size is $118 so I didn’t get it–and then during an Ulta sale–I picked it up. I think this is my second or third repurchase. I grabbed a backup earlier in the year during another Ulta sale or using points or something. But I recently read they test on animals. And now–I can’t get it anymore. So I’ll use this up because I have it, but I won’t be repurchasing in the future.

L’Occitane, Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil: As you probably know, I really like this stuff. And so does Pamela. Especially in the winter. I have a sample size I’m using now, but I’m really trying to stay away from brands that animal test and they do. So no repurchasing for me.

Living Proof , Restore Mask Treatment: I got a Sephora Favorites featuring hair masks and this was one of them. It’s really heavy. And I didn’t like how it felt on my hair and didn’t really feel like it was magic after. My favorite hair mask continues to be from Ouai, so I won’t repurchase it.

Naobay, Body Radiance Lotion: I’m sure this came from a Birchbox. It was fine but nothing worth making a special effort to repurchase.

There you have it! My impressions on these products I used up–kind of a mixed bag–but some that I really loved.

Curious–do you shop cruelty-free when you purchase products? Anything you’re recently finished up that you love and will repurchase? Let us know below!

And yup–purchased all with my money.
