Empties: sleeping masks, hair products and fancy face creams

I’ve used up a bunch of stuff–what did I think, would I repurchase, should you get on board?–let’s find out together!

Sudzz, AquaFix® Hydrating Conditioner: I’ve been using this conditioner for years! I’ve tried other samples and things but I always come back. I get it from my salon, coleighco.com It has already been repurchased.

DevaCurl, WAVE MAKER™ Touchable Texture Whip: I kinda liked this stuff. It was easy to pack when I traveled for work and was really light but kept my hair manageable. I haven’t repurchased yet because I have a ton of hair stuff right now. But I would pick it up again.

Sol de Janeiro, Brazilian Bum Bum Cream:  Of course I’ve repurchased it! I still love it!

Algenist, GENIUS Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream: Ugh. I really liked this–even though it’s in a pot and not a pump. But it’s really expensive. I opted not to repurchase it during the Ulta 20% off sale but I might be regretting it. I’ll be thinking about it again during the upcoming Sephora 20%, for sure. I could actually tell a difference on mornings after I used it overnight. It’s good.

American Provenance, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Deodorant: I am all in! This is my second stick and it’s already been repurchased.

Lush, Yuzu and Cocoa Shower Gel: I got this on vacation and I am pretty down with the scent, but I don’t love the formula. And I think it’s pretty pricey. So nah, I doubt I’ll get it again.

Peter Thomas Roth, Camu Camu Power C x 30™ Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Mask: Oh goodness–I’ve had this for so long–I finally had to give up on it! I just never wanted to use it. I didn’t like the consistency–it’s too thick to be a serum but didn’t find it to be heavy enough as a lotion. And the smell was kinda weird. But I wouldn’t just throw it away because it wasn’t cheap. But now it really turned so I can throw it away without feeling too bad about it, aside from the fact that it’s probably half full. Definitely not repurchasing.

Skyn Iceland, Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels: I really love these and I’m super bummed I forgot to repurchase them when I made my Ulta run. I just used them up today, and I didn’t realize I was at the end! I’ll definitely get them again–they work really quickly–and I can put my eye makeup on when I wear them and they catch fall out. These are great.

Bite Beauty, Agave Lip Balm: This is so strange because this has been my go-to nighttime lip treatment–but it was bad! Anjee had mentioned getting bumps from using this brand and I never had trouble with it. But this most recent tube was wrong. My lips actually felt burned or something. I finished it but I have found something else I’ve been liking instead. Maybe they reformulated–I don’t know–but whatever Anjee experienced seemed to be happening to me, too! Sad.

L’Oréal, Voluminous Feline Noir Mascara: I bought this on Jess’ recommendation and it’s really good! I especially like it as an everyday mascara. I’m all in on the Lash Paradise right now, but I could see picking this up again.

SEPHORA COLLECTION, Solid Clean: Solid Brush Cleaner: I’ve honestly never tried the Beauty Blender version, just this knock off, and I really like it. I’ve repurchased it and need to  do a massive brush clean this weekend.

SEPHORA COLLECTION, Sleeping Mask – Pearl: I HATED this mask. It’s slimy and smells bad and did nothing to my skin. In fact, I think it was more drying than anything. Couldn’t finish it. I think I did two treatments from the little pot and then bailed on it. Nope.

Peter Thomas Roth, Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream: I loved this so much–but I don’t think I’ll purchase a full size. I really don’t like pots! If it was in a pump like the serum, I would definitely get it. I highly recommend it as both a night cream but especially as a day cream–if you don’t have weird pot issues like I do. And I think the price is pretty good for the quality.

Sara Happ, The Lip Scrub, Brown Sugar: I’m not sure where I picked this up but it lasted a really long time. I didn’t love it, but it was fine. I’m using a Lush one now that I think is cheaper and seems to be fine, too. I can’t say I would seek this out, but if you see it somewhere, I think it does the job.

That’s that! I’m always excited to use things up and reflect on how they went. I think I was pretty split this time.

Have you tried any of these items? How did they go for you? I always love hearing in the comments below.

I bought all of these items myself although I get a discount for helping my salon with her website–but I still paid real money for all the things.
