This $8 kit provides the pampering you need now

Is it something about this week? I feel like everyone is super overwhelmed, tired, a bit crabby and suffering from the week that won’t quit.

Or maybe it’s just me?

Regardless, I’m holding tight to anything that gives me even a moment of peace and an opportunity to take a deep breath and chill.

This $8 find gave me what I needed–and maybe what you need, too:

With an Ulta gift card burning a hole in my wallet, I strolled through the aisles after a meeting last week. I wasn’t really looking for anything in particular.

I like looking at brushes, even though I have plenty, and I found this little kit in the EcoTools section.

I really like all of the EcoTools line I’ve tried and I appreciate that they are affordable and environmentally-friendly.

This little pack caught my eye.

I love face masks. And I have a ton of them.

I do them in the shower all the time. Probably too much.

I’m not even sure they really anything, but I love the process of putting one on and the excuse it gives me to stay in the shower just a little longer.

The Facial Mask Mates includes a mask application brush and three sponges similar to the ones you find at spas.

Do you really need these things to do a mask at home? Nope. But my goodness–it really makes applying your mask that much more decadent.

I’ve used it for the past week and the brush has been really great for application from more viscous masks to firmer clay masks.

It applies evenly and it feels so smooth putting it on–like a little massage.

The sponges are just that, round sponges, but they easily remove the masks with a soft touch.

There are certainly more important things to spend your $8 on, but I’ve also spent $8 on things have given me much less joy lately.

Perhaps a little at home spa will do just the trick to get us through the end of the month. #isitspringyet?

(And right now Ulta has them as buy one, get one 40% off, so maybe a gift idea for a friend who could use a little love?)

Any little new loves in your life getting you through the month? PLEASE share those and virtual hugs in the comments!

  1. Sounds fun to use and definitely some pampering that you deserve. I’m a sucker for a good pore minimizing mask as I have a single pore on my left cheek the size of the Grand Canyon. Big hugs back!
PS The Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer is everything you said it would be! I apply it over a lip stain and it’s pretty friggin fantastic.
